This is the English translation of Boverket´s Building Regulations, for informative purposes. Please note that the Building Regulations (BBR) are often updated. This version, BBR 26 BFS 2018:4, is not the latest version.
This is general recommendations for chapter 8, Section 9 second paragraph, Section 10 and 11 of the Planning and Building Act (2010:900), PBL.

The statute contains general recommendations on the analytical design of a building’s fire protection. The general recommendations in the statute can be applied to verify analytical design pursuant to Boverkets building regulations (BBR) Section 5:112.
The statute contains mandatory provisions and general recommendations on adjustments and deviations from the requirements on new construction, reconstruction and other alterations to buildings for temporary accommodation facilities.
This translation covers Planning and Building Act (2010:900) including amendments up to SFS 2018:1370 and Planning and Planning and Building Ordinance (2011:338) including amendments up to SFS 2018:1390.
Government bill 2013/14:174 stated that it should not be the individual building contractor or owner who assesses whether it is cost-effective to install individual meters; instead Boverket should make a general assessment. Boverket was therefore commissioned to examine whether individual metering and charging is a cost-effective investment, and to specify in which cases metering systems for heating, cooling and domestic hot water should be installed in buildings.
